use
1, 3-methyl -2-(4-chlorophenyl) butyronitrile is an intermediate for the preparation of 3-methyl -2-(4-chlorophenyl) butyric acid, which can be used to produce pyrethroids such as fenvalerate, brommethrin and valerate.
2. pesticide intermediates.
production method
1. p-cyanobenzyl is obtained by alkylation. The ingredients of p-chlorobenzene, isopropyl benzene sulfonate and sodium hydroxide were added into petroleum ether according to the molar ratio of 1:1.1:3, and stirred at about 70 ℃ for 12 hours. After washing, drying and desolution, vacuum distillation is carried out, and the fraction at 100-110 ℃(40-80Pa) is collected to obtain α-isopropyl p-chlorophenyl acetonitrile with 90% content and more than 92% yield. The alkylating agent isopropyl benzene sulfonate is converted into sodium benzene sulfonate in the reaction, which can be recycled to prepare phenol. The alkylating agent can also use bromoisopropane or chloroisopropane to react in the presence of a strong base.
2. The preparation method is to place p-chlorobenzyl, bromoisopropane and phase transfer catalyst in a reaction pot, add 45% sodium hydroxide solution dropwise under stirring, keep the temperature at 30~45 ℃, after addition, the temperature rises to 50~57 ℃, the heat preservation reaction is 8 hours, and the disappearance of p-chlorobenzyl is tracked and determined by gas chromatography. When the content is less than 2%, the reaction, the toluene layer was washed with saturated salt water to pH = 7~8, then washed with clear water for 1~2 times, filtered, and then detoluene under reduced pressure to obtain 3-methyl -2-(4-chlorophenyl) butyronitrile with a yield of 89%.
if chlorinated isopropane is used as alkylating agent, solid alkali and liquid alkali are put into the alkylation reactor to prepare 45% sodium hydroxide solution, then p-chlorobenzyl is put into it, the measured chlorinated isopropane is added with the phase transfer catalyst, and the temperature is kept and reacted at 37~40 ℃ for 3 hours. after the qualitative analysis is qualified, the water layer is removed, the oil layer is washed with water.
